DIGITAL CONVERTER FOR OUTPUT OF DIFFERENTIAL TRANSFORMER

PURPOSE:To generate the output voltage proportional to the degree of displacement of a core with high precision, by giving a digital conversion and then a digital process to the output voltage of a differential transformer. CONSTITUTION:The signal 100 receives the shaping of waveform through a waveform shaping circuit 46 to be converted into a count starting signal 200 with the reference phase if the signal 100. In this case, a synchronizing gate circuit 48 opens the gate to feed the clock pulse signal 250 and to deliver the count pulse signal 300. A counter circuit 52 feeds the sample timing signal 400 to a sample holding circuit 40 when it finishes the counting of the prescribed number of signals 300. A prescribed number of the signal 300 is previously set so that the signal 150 which is sampled by the circuit 40 is always at its peak value.
