PURPOSE:To enable improvement in the efficiency of bad-smelling gas combustion, as of a sewage truck, and to prevent the neighborhood of the burner becoming heated excessively by structuring a system whereby the burning chamber and the bad-smelling gas introducing section are connected via a pair of through pipes, with the top end of each through pipe being cut off obliquely and with a shielding plate being installed horizontally above the burner. CONSTITUTION:The top end of each through pipe 40 is cut off obliquely so that the bad-smelling gas may be directed obliquely upwards against the flame rising from the burner in a columnar shape in the center of the burning chamber 22, and that it may be directed approximately in the tangential direction of the cylindrical flame. The bad-smelling gas led through each of the through pipes 40 is fed obliquely upwards in the tangential direction of the cylindrical flame so that the bad-smelling gas is caught in the rising flame streams. The bad- smelling gas flowed around the flame is then made to hit the somewhat convex underside of the shielding plate 48, spreading in the circumferential directions as indicated by arrows A to envelop and mingle with the flame. The bad-smelling gas goes through complete combustion mainly on the underside of the shielding plate 48 to be made odorless and harmless. |
