PURPOSE:To efficiently and surely perform grinding work of a coil spring end part, by arranging an N number of switches peripherally of an output shaft lever, determining a correction amount from what switch is selected among said switches and automatically correcting a wearing amount in grinding wheels. CONSTITUTION:An upper wheel 66 is fixed to the lower end of an output shaft in a head 64, and a power transmission mechanism at the side of a lower wheel 96 is the same as that at the side of the wheel 66. A wheel wear detector 6 is located behind the wheels 66, 96. When a grinding surface of the wheels 66, 96 is worn, an output shaft 70a of a rotary cylinder 70 is rotated to a prscribed amount to lower the wheel 66 and perform correction. Corrective movement of the wheel is determined by which switch is selected among the switches in quantity of N arranged peripherally of a lever 112 in the output shaft 70a. In accordance with size of a ground spring, a switch is selected at an angle of obtaining a rotary amount of the optimum lever 112 among switches 114, 116 of the N number of switches. |
