PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally reduce eddy current loss generated in a permanent magnet in an electric motor or a generator arranging the permanent magnet on a movable member. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet 1 arranged in the movable member (for instance, the rotor of a rotary electric machine) of the electric motor or generator is divided into magnets 1A-1E by division widths t1-t5 corresponding to a magnetic flux density change ratio at each magnet position, and eddy current losses generated in each magnet 1A-1E are substantially loss.
