PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new one side type shoe press belt which can reduce the irregularity of a space volume and further solve a problem that the grooves or holes of a both side type belt are formed by a grinding method to reinforce the water-squeezing property of the belt but are collapsed due to wears caused by frictions with the felt and further due to pressures during a pressing operation. SOLUTION: This belt for the shoe press uses multi-filament yarns (dotted line patterns) for a yarn 2a1 on the outer face and/or a yarn 2a2 adjacent to the inside of the yarn 2a1 which are yarns inserted into the outer portion of one side 2' of a substrate 2 in the longitudinal direction of the belt, and then allowing an elastic resin layer to contain the multi-filaments. When one side of the substrate 2 is coated and impregnated with the elastic resin to form the elastic resin layer, the structure of the multifilament yarns comprising several hundreds of fine denier continuous fibers can be utilized to surely inhibit the impregnation of the elastic resin, when the multifilament yarns are included.
