PURPOSE:To obtain a clad plate having seam in a clad material by forming one sheet of the clad material by using a joint material obtd. from the clad plate formed by explosive press welding of two kinds of metallic sheets and further press welding this to the other metallic plate by explosion. CONSTITUTION:A metallic plate consisting of a metal 3 and a metal 4 used as a clad material 1 is cut out from a explosively press-welded clad plate by a method such as machining to make a joint material. The metallic plate 3 of the same or roughly the same kind as that of the metal 3 of the joint material and a metallic plate 4 of the same or roughly the same kind as that of the metal 4 are joined by butt welding 5 or the like, whereby the clad material 1 is produced. This material 1 and a base material 2 are joined by an explosive press welding method, whereby a clad plate having a seam 6 at the material 1 is obtained. By the above-mentioned method, the clad material of good quality is obtained, and it is also possible to produce the clad plate by using a clad material consisting of metals which are considered impossible to weld. |
