PURPOSE:To reduce total machining time and upgrade machining accuracy by detecting the attainment of specified values for electric discharge machining dimensions, and hence changing machining requirements and also by setting the following minute machining dimensions in relation to the machining time. CONSTITUTION:As for the power source 3 for electric discharge machining equipment 1, machining requirements such as peak current and pulse width can be changed by selection switches 19 and 20. An electrode 8 gives a feed motion for machining by providing survo pulses CS to a pulse motor 13 from a servo circuit 14. The machining dimensions are detected by counting servo pulses with a counter 29. Every time the machining dimensions pass through the specified values, a signal PL1 is issued from a comparator 31, and hence the machining requirements are changed. When the machining condition comes to finish machining state, the machining dimensions are detected by timres 23 thru 25, and the finish machining condition is altered by a signal PL2 which represents the passage of setting time and the machining work is accomplished. |
