PURPOSE:To charge and discharge an untreated steel rod material and a treated one in a short tine and to perform a descaling operation efficiently, by removing oxidized scale of steel rod material having it on its surface by using three knurled rollers and a reciprocating lever for transferring the material. CONSTITUTION:Plural steel rod materials F, having oxidized scales on their surfaces, are put on a chute 6 and fed one by one to a descaling device, constituting of three knurled rollers 1, 2, and 3, arranged in a triangular shape by means of a raw material push-up arm 7. Surface scale of the material is removed by rotating the three rollers, arranged previously by descending the roller 1 and a reciprocating lever 5, after receiving the material F between the roller 3 and the tip of lever 5 rising between the lower rollers 2 and 3. Next, the lever 5 is raised again to discharge the treated material F through an upper inclined surface 5a, and simultaneously, the next untreated material is held temporarily between the rollers 3 and the lever 5 to proceed the next descaling treatment. |
