<p>PURPOSE:To maintain the continuity of rotation of a pilot signal even when consecutive recording is performed under tracking control without using the pilot signal by using a tracking pilot signal. CONSTITUTION:Rotating control of a capstan motor 4 for moving a magnetic tape 7 is performed by a rotating speed control circuit 32 to obtain a prescribed rotating speed via a capstan motor driving circuit 33 based on speed information of a rotating speed detector 31. At the time of reproducing, in addition to the prescribed revolving speed as stated above, tracking control is performed for the purpose of controlling a tape position so as to make magnetic heads 2 and 3 scan a recorded track. This control is carried out to adjust a tape moving speed by adding a tracking control signal to a motor control signal in order to obtain a prescribed tape phase based on deviated tracking information. Then, upon correct tracking, if a tracking frequency during reproducing can be discriminated, rotation of a pilot signal generator 41 is set to the rotation of the next field accordingly to maintain the continuity.</p> |
