PURPOSE:To permit the suden acceleration of the vehicle by a method wherein a first pattern, preferable from a view point of an output capacity, and a second pattern, preferable from the view point of fuel consuming properties, are made selectable and the first pattern is selected forcibly when an accelerating pedal treading amount increasing speed becomes higher than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A computer 100, for controlling the automatic speed changer based on th signals of respective sensors 1-8, controls the solenoids 11, 12 of the gear type speed changing mechanism and the solenoid 13 of the direct coupling clutch. The P pattern, preferring the output capacity, and the E pattern, preferring the fuel consuming properties, are selected by a pattern select switch 7. However, when the speed of increasing the opening degree of a throttle is higher than a predetermined value, it is decided that an operator is necessitating the speed changing control by the P pattern actually in spite of the selection of the pattern select switch 7, and the selection of the P pattern may be effected. |
