The actuator comprises a box in which a driven shaft is rotatably carried. A pinion gear is in mesh engagement with a rack mounted on the sliding door. A helical gear wheel is in mesh engagement with a worm screw keyed to a driveshaft driven by an electric motor housed in the box. These components are rotatively rigid. The electric motor comprises a rotor carried rotatably on the driveshaft and arranged between a pair of plates. One of the plates is rigid with the driveshaft and the other of the plates rotatively coupled to but axially movable w.r.t. the driveshaft by a torque limiter. The torque limiter comprises an adjustable spring adapted to cause the rotor to be clamped between the plates with a preset force. The driven shaft has a diametric slot through which is inserted a pin. The opposite ends of the pin project and engage a groove on the hub of a helical gear wheel by a spring. |
