The agricultural seed sower is connected by upper and lower arms (11,12) to a tractor (13). It has a hopper (1) with delivery feeds extending from the rear, with sowing shares (6) at their bases. Behind them are arms (7) with tines (8) attached which cover the deposited seeds. The shares, the tines and the wheels (2) supporting the hopper are lifted from the ground for transport. Between the hopper and the upper arm (11) is a cranked lever (9) which is swung about a pivot axis (21) formed by a hinge of a bracket on the hopper. In the operating position, the distance (A) between the hopper and the rearmost point (16) of the tractor is at least 20 cms. In the raised position, the crank arm is tilted forwards by a telescopic cylinder (19) at the top of the hopper.
