RESIN COMPOSITION AND POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a resin composition for providing a norbornene-based polymer having excellent mechanical properties, especially impact resistance and a polymer having excellent impact resistance. SOLUTION: A resin composition obtained by mixing a resin component consisting essentially of a norbornene-based monomer and a polymerization catalyst with a filler having <=50μm average particle diameter is used. For example, calcium carbonate or aluminum hydroxide having <=15μm average particle diameter is used as the filler. A monomer consisting essentially of dicyclopentadiene is used as the norbornene-based monomer.
