SLAB SUPPORTING APPARATUS FOR SLAB CUTTER

PURPOSE: A slab supporting apparatus for slab cutter is provided which prevents formation of cutting burr on the cut surface of a slab and surface defects of the slab due to cut scale by installing a transfer car moving along with the cutter under the slab and installing at least two or more supporting rolls above the transfer car. CONSTITUTION: In a cutter for cutting a slab (S) produced in a continuous casting line, the slab supporting apparatus for the slab cutter comprises a transfer car(10) which is movably installed under the slab (S); at least two or more supporting rolls(11) for supporting both sides of the cut surface of the slab (S) that are installed above the transfer car(10); a support bar(12) that is installed on one side surface of the transfer car(10); and a link(13) which is connected to the support bar(12) and rotated as a cylinder(15) is being operated.
