The invention relates to a tool carrier, consisting of a peeling head (1) and a peeling-head rod (18), with which pipes metres long are peeled on the inside. To avoid all vibrations caused by allowance for fits, all elements (3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 35) of the peeling head (1) which participate in the cut are flexibly preloaded. All the peeling-blade holders (3, 4, 35) are pressed radially inwards as a unit by a common annular spring (14). The peeling-blade holders are restrained in the axial direction by an axially loaded adjusting spindle (5) (cylinder 20, piston 21). The pressure of the coolant and lubricant is used for this. The peeling blades in the peeling head can be adjusted during the operation by means of a planetary differential gear (40). <IMAGE>
