<p>The incus prothesis allowing the reconstruction of the acoustic duct containing the auditory ossicles, has a closed geometric narrowing form which is comprised of base and apex faces (covering faces) as well as of an envelope (3) assembling them. The base face (1) is bigger than the apex face (2), the biggest diameter of the base face is smaller than the distance between the two covering faces and the biggest diameter of the apex face is bigger than the biggest radius of the base face. The prosthesis is comprised of a bioactive material, particularly bioactive vitroceramic, and has a bioinert insoluble coating in selected locations of its surface. This coating may form an additive layer (S(+)) or a subtractive layer. Different processes and coating materials are used for both alternatives. A subtractive layer may be additionally subjected to a sealing and/or silanisation treatment.</p> |
