Novel N-malonic acid-aminomethylphosphonic acid and derivatives thereof, their preparation, herbicidal and fungicidal agents containing them, and their use as herbicides and fungicides

Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R<1> and R<2> independently of one another are hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, 2-cyanoethyl, 2,2,2-trichloroethyl, N,N-dimethylaminoethyl, N,N-diethylaminoethyl, aryl, benzyl or Si(R<7>)3, in which R<7> represents C1-C4-alkyl, R<3> is hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, benzyl, diphenylmethyl, triphenylmethyl, Si(R<7>)3, in which R<7> represents C1-C4-alkyl, or an organic acyl radical, R<4> is hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl, R<5> and R<6> independently of one another are hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, benzyl or Si(R<7>)3, in which R<7> represents C1-C4-alkyl, or R<5> and R<6> together are the group <IMAGE> in which R<8> and R<9> independently of one another represent C1-C4-alkyl, including their metal salts and their salts with quaternary ammonium bases and organic nitrogen bases. The compounds have herbicidal, in particular contact-herbicidal, properties. They are also fungicidally active and can therefore be used for protecting crop plants against phytopathogenic fungi.
