摘要 The device permits automatic operation of a motor vehicle friction clutch, the operating member (201) of which can be moved by a controllable drive device between a disengaged position, in which the clutch speed is disengaged independently and an engaged position in which the clutch is completely engaged. A program control (213) controls the engagement as a function of the engine speed by means of a function generator. A position pickup (211), which generates a signal corresponding to the actual position of the operating member (201), is coupled to the drive device (203) of the clutch. The program control (213) increases its control signals fed to the drive device (203) by a control signal increment, supplied from a memory circuit (215, 217, 219), which increment compensates for the clutch wear-dependent change in the actual position of the operating member (201) in relation to the characteristic of the function generator. The control signal increment is determined from the position signal of the position pickup in a clutch position with predetermined degree of engagement. In order to determine this reference position, the clutch is moved in the disengaging direction with reduced drive torque until the drive device (203) encounters the resistance of the clutch spring and comes to a stop. The transitory variation of the signal of the position pickup (211) is monitored as indicator of the stopping of the drive device (203). <IMAGE>
