The rotor (6) of the stepping motor for a quartz watch is mounted on one single bearing, comprised by the ball bearing (3, 5, 8), wherein is engaged the medial portion of its shaft (1). On either side of this bearing, the shaft (1) carries a pinion (2) to drive the hands of the watch, and a permanent magnet (9), surrounded by the stator (13). The perfect centering of the latter with respect to the shaft of the rotor (6) is provided exclusively by engaging an opening (14) of the stator (13) on a flange (12) of the bearing of the rotor. Owing to this centering, the polar masses of the stator (13) are in a very accurate position with respect to the rotor (6), thereby generating at each pulse a relatively high optimum torque, on the rotor (6), for a minimum consumption. |
