Radial rolling-contact bearing with oil-bath lubrication

In the case of a radial rolling-contact bearing with oil-bath lubrication, in particular for the mounting of rotating drums, in the case of a rotating outer ring (3) problems occur since the oil is distributed due to the centrifugal force over the bearing periphery as a thin oil ring (28) and sufficient lubrication is hence not ensured. To avoid these shortcomings, use is made of the oil's static pressure occurring in the oil ring (28) to pass the said oil into a chamber (10) which is adjacent to the rolling-contact bearing and does not rotate, where it flows off downwards and provides the bearing with the required level.
