The invention relates to articles lined and padded with PVC-based film material, in particular door linings of motor vehicles, which are distinguished in that a polyolefin air-cushion film is arranged between the film material and the article and in that either the outside, facing the PVC film material, of the air-cushion film is provided with a coating or lamination which enters into a durable bond with the PVC film material under the effect of heat or in that the PVC film material is provided with a coating or lamination on the inside which enters into a durable bond with the air-cushion film and in that these layers are welded or bonded to one another and to the article intermittently. <IMAGE>
