Two rotary switches (18, 28) are provided which are preferably on parallel axes and whose switch shafts (17, 27) each have a locking disk (16, 26). In each case one stepping drive (1, 2) can drive each rotary switch (18, 28) via a safety catch (locking mechanism) (15, 25) and an elastic coupling (clutch) (4), on the precondition that the correct switching command is given, which initially causes the rotation of that rotary switch (18) in whose locking disk (16) the lock (4) does not engage, but on which the lock (4) rests. If this is the case, then the rotary switch (18) rotates, its locking disk (16) turns a latch to face the lock (4), into which latch the locking disk (26) of the other rotary switch (28) can now push the lock (4) if it is rotated with the rotary switch (28). At the same time, the lock (4) now blocks the locking disk (16) of the firstmentioned rotary switch (18). It is now possible to reverse the process. Contacts on the two switches can in this case be used for electrical locking of the rotary magnet stepping drives (1, 2). <IMAGE>
