PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a high temperature electric coil and to enhance the space factor of an electric conductor by sintering and forming an insulating coil tube made of inorganic clay mixed with glass base around a solid core member, melting the core member, and then inserting electric conductors into a hollow part. CONSTITUTION:The periphery of a solid core member 3 which is molten at the prescribed temperature is covered with a coating 4 of inorganic clay mixed with fiber glass base, necessary number of these cores 3 are bundled, an outside insulator 5 is covered around the bundled cores 3, which are disposed in a mold 1 and which is heated and sintered. In this case, the core members 3 are molten at the heating step, and a sintered insulating coil tube 7 having a cavity 8 is formed. Then, electric conductors made of metal or alloy which is molten at the operating temperature are inserted into the cavities 8 to form electric coils. In this manner, insulating coils each having a reduced thickness, and high mechanical strength can be readily manufactured. |
