In the compact design of communications racks there is now a requirement to provide common wiring for optical waveguide (9), radio-frequency (10), audio-frequency (11) and other lines (19) for slot-in modules. It is intended to be possible for the wiring to be carried out from the front and especially the weaker lines, such as optical waveguide lines, are intended not to be subjected to stress due to unnecessary bending. The invention solves this problem by means of a common plate (2), which can be pivoted by means of hinges, for all plug-in connections for the slot-in modules. Once the wiring is completed, this plate (2) can be swung into the rack frame and a guide housing (3) and the slot-in modules (4) are then attached. <IMAGE>
