Knothole-patching machine with a machine table (2) and machine frame (1), a drilling spindle (9) and a hollow spindle (12) in which a pressure pin for pressing a plug into a knothole bore in the workpiece is arranged, a glue-injecting device which is provided together with the spindles (9 and 12) on a support (8), a drive motor (17) with an axially displaceable hollow drive shaft which can alternatively be coupled to one of the spindles via a friction clutch (11 or 14), a thrust rod axially displaceable in the hollow drive shaft by a working piston (18), and a clamping foot (7) attached to the machine frame and facing the machine table (2). In order to be able to work with a constant height and fit the machine without problem into the flow of automatic conveying systems, the machine table (2) is arranged in an operationally fixed position relative to the machine frame (1), and the support (8) with the spindles (9 and 12) and the glue-injecting device together with the drive motor (17), the working piston (18) and the thrust rod as well as the clamping foot (7) forms a unit (4) which can be adjusted as a whole in a guide (3) with a vertical component relative to the machine table (2). <IMAGE>
