Longitudinal-separation device for presses for dividing frozen blocks of foodstuffs into strips, in which the shearing tool arranged behind the cutting tool of a piston press consists of a shearing chamber (9, 10, 11) movable transversely relative to the feed direction of the press and of a movable pushing-out ram (8), a plurality of shearing chambers arranged in alignment with one another forming between them, on their end faces, shearing planes transverse relative to the feed direction of the piston press and being displaceable relative to one another in these shearing planes.
