PURPOSE:To elevate accuracy of speed display of a speed display device which switches and displays a car speed at every prescribed time, by continuously executing detection of car speed data until the time point when the car speed display is switched, so that its car speed data is diaplayed when the car speed has been switched. CONSTITUTION:A pulse corresponding to a car speed obtained from a car speed sensor 1 is counted by the time decided by a counter 7. On the other hand, a clock signal whose frequency has been divided at 30 is converted to a binary number by a counter 3, is sent to a binary-10 line converter 5, and 10 line signals Q0-Q9 are outputted in order repeatedly. Subsequently, the signal Q0 is sent to a latching circuit 8 as a latch signal, and also is sent to an RSFF6 as a set signal. As a result, the RSFF6 generates an H level signal, and the counter 7 stops counting a car speed pulse. At the same time, the circuit 8 holds car speed data, simultaneously sends this car speed data to a display part 10, and executes a digital speed display. The latch signal becomes an L level as soon as the signal Q1 is generated. Also, the counter 7 is reset by the signal Q2. |
