PURPOSE:To make the operation easy, by providing a specific character kind shift controlling circuit to reduce character kind switching operations. CONSTITUTION:The device where plural character keys and character kind shift keys 2 are provided and character codes D0-D7 generated for depression of a character key 1 are changed in accordance with a character kind shift which is depressed beforehand is provided with a character kind shift key 2 which is depressed beforehand is provided with a character kind shift controlling circuit 6 controls a characer code to be generated by a newly depressed character key 1 in accordance with the character code which is generated beforehand. This circuit 6 consists of a register 7, where the output code of a character code generating circuit 5 which is generated preliminarily is stored temporarily, and a decoder circuit 8 which uses the output code of the register 7 and the output code of the character code generating circuit 5 as address codes (X, Y) to output codes, for example, d0-d3, and further, a gate circuit 9 is provided which outputs the output of the character code generating circuit 5 to the next process after the operation of the character kind shift control. |
