PURPOSE:To feed and discharge a slip without the possibility of causing a malfunction by means of one switch by a method wherein signals generated from two sensors for detecting the location of slip paper are employed to drive the slip paper for selectively feeding or discharging it. CONSTITUTION:When slip paper 6 inserted from guides 7a, 7b is located at an upper end detection sensor 21, because the output of the sensor 21, that is, the output of a waveform shaping circuit 26 is set to ''H'' and because the output of a lower detection sensor 22, that is, the output of a waveform shaping circuit 27 is set to ''L'', a CPU32, if a feed/discharge switch 16 is pressed, controls a slip paper driving circuit 34, allowing a feed roller 18 to positively turn and the slip paper 6 to be fed in the direction of a printer. Then when the outputs of circuits 26, 27 become ''L'' and ''H'', respectively, the feeding action is interrupted. Moreover, when the paper 6 in the state of B or C and when the outputs of the circuits 26, 27 respectively become ''H'', ''H'' or ''L'', ''H'', the CPU, if the switch is pressed, allows the feed roller 18 to reversely turn and the paper 6 to be discharged. |
