PURPOSE:To display and hold distance information of each area, by repeatedly transmitting a signal in order in the different directions at prescribed time intervals to a warning area in the circumference of a vehicle, receiving a reflected signal from an obstacle, and operating a distance from a time difference between transmission and receiving. CONSTITUTION:In a distance measuring device 1, distance information is obtained by repeatedly transmitting a signal such as an ultrasonic wave, etc. in order in the different directions at prescribed time intervals to a warning area in the circumference of a vehicle, receiving a reflected signal by an object such as an obstacle, etc., and operating the distance information to the object by a circuit 90 in accordance with a time difference between its transmitting time and receiving time. This distance information is given to a noise removing circuit 4. In thsi circuit 4, if there is an engine noise by executing the detection plural times, it is cancelled as erroneous distance information, a distance measuring data is displayed in accordance with an output of this circuit 4, and its display state is held until the next distance measuring data in the same direction is outputted. |
