The central lock, especially for safety doors, is designed so that a plurality of locking members can be actuated simultaneously, in particular also by a single panic lever. The central lock consists of a control disc (2), on which a plurality of links for the adjustment of locking members are mounted, and of an actuating member (33) which, via a device (18), causes a control disc (2) to execute a rotational movement. The control disc (2) is rotatable at least into a locking and a release position. The device (18) forming a coupling consists of two discs (18b, 18a), of which one disc (18b) is connected to the actuating member (33). The device (18) forming the coupling contains a blocking device (25). This allows the release of a relative rotation between the two discs (18b, 18a) in a first position and the execution of a joint rotation of the two discs together with the control disc (2) in a second position.
