PURPOSE:To transmit an optical image through an optical calbe, by determining the relation of relative positions of respective optical fibers at both ends of the optical cable consisting of an optical fiber bundle. CONSTITUTION:When a bright line S is arranged in the left end of a front end F of an optical fiber as shown in figure (a) and lights are inputted to, for example, 3 optical fibers, lights are recognized in 3 optical fibers in accordance with this light input at a rear end R, and coordinates of these fibers are stored. Next, the bright line S is moved in the direction of the axis X by a minute length DELTAt as shown in figure (b), and positional coordinates of optical fibers emitting lights at the rear end R are stored similarly. After this operation is repeated until the bright line S traverses all of the face of the front end F in the direction of the axis X, the similar operation is performed in the direction of the axis Y, and positional coordinates of fibers obtained at the rear end R are arranged to obtain the relation of the correspondence between positional coordinates of fibers at the front end F and the rear end R, and thus, the image at the front end F is reconstructed at the rear end R. |
