PURPOSE:To reduce the memory capacity of an electronic cash register ECR, by clearing stored contents of storage means of all ECRs after data are gathered from all ECRs. CONSTITUTION:Current stock data is operated on a basis of data gathered from plural ECRs, and a signal is generated which instructs to clear data related to stock, buying-in, and sale of each ECR, and operated stock data is transferred to a specific ECR. In this case, a CPU 41 is connected to ECRs 1-3 through an interface 46. The CPU 41 is connected to a keyboard 42 and a printer 43, and further, the CPU 41 is connected to a ROM 44 and a RAM 45. An operating program is stored in the ROM 44, and the RAM 45 has a specific storage area. These CPU 41, keyboard 42, printer 43, ROM 44, RAM 45, and interface 46 constitute a data gathering device 4. |
