<p>A padded molding strip comprises a body member 21 having a contoured outer face and having a planar face integrally bonded to a foam pad 22 at their interface to provide a one piece construction fabricated from thermoplastic material, the body member being relatively stiff in a transverse direction and relatively flexible in a longitudinal direction. The foam pad is compressible and has an adhesive disposed on an outer planar surface thereof covered with a peelable strip prior to use. The thermoplastic materials are extruded from two separate extruders into an extrusion die assembly in which one material flows at a right angle to the other material and impinges thereagainst to bond the materials directly together at their interface. <IMAGE></p> |
