PURPOSE:To manufacture titled resin mold easily without using a split mold, by making a core of foamed polystyrene, coating plastics on its outside, laminating fiber-reinforced plastics and curing, then dissolving the core. CONSTITUTION:Foamed polystyrene is made into the shape of a product by machining and this makes the core 1 for a resin mold 3. A thin film 2 is formed on its outside by film-coating wirh a heat-shrinkable film etc. Then, a fiber- reinforced plastics mold 3 is manufactured by laminating polyester resin and glass fiber alternately on its outside. After it is cured, solvent is poured through several holes 4 of the upper face of the mold 3 and dissolves foamed polystyrene of the core 1. After an undercut part of the core 1 is dissolved, the mold is parted into upper and lower molds and polystyrene resin within them is wiped off, the desired resin mold 3 is obtained. |
