PURPOSE:To form a connector for multicore optical fiber cables which is strong to oscillations by fixing the junctures of optical fibers to a holding body having plural fixing grooves. CONSTITUTION:A holding body 3 having plural fixing grooves 5 is fixed to the juncture of a tension member 2 by means of adhesive or the like. Containing cases 6 containing the junctions of optical fiber cores 1 is fitted to the central part 5a of the grooves 5, and the cores 1 are fixed to the grooves 5b in both end parts of the grooves 5. After a sleeve 7 for fixing the holding body is put therein, a heat shrinkable tube 8 is put thereon. When this tube 8 is heated with a burner 10 or the like, the sleeve 7 is fixed. At this time, bobbins for winding excess length parts are provided at both ends of the body 3 in order to handle the excess length parts of the cores 1. In this way, the connector for multicore optical fiber cables which is strong to oscillations is formed. |
