PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled device used for a boiler and to reduce the amount of accumulation of soot by a method wherein a steel ball collecting hopper is provided integrally with the interior of the device and slits are provided in the peripheral wall of the device. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas including fire flakes enters the fire flake removing device through a gas inlet 21 and moves upward as it becomes a high speed swirling stream by passing through a guide vane 11. In this case, large particles of soot remained unburned are collected in the slits 12 and completely burned small carbon particles are discharged upwardly of a gas outlet 22. Further, when the device is used for removing soot from an exhaust gas economizer, the steel balls scattered from upward are collected in the center part of the hopper 14 by means of damping plates 13 for preventing the springing up of the steel balls and are then taken out from a collecting port 15. |
