PURPOSE:To atomize fuel in good condition and to prevent incomplete combustion in a combustor for liquid fuel, by forming flame trays at the upper ends of an inner and an outer cylinders, for holding a wick, and by constituting the cylinder on the side where a heater is installed of the material of low thermal conductivity, as well as to provide a heater to either one of flame trays of an inner and an outer cylinders. CONSTITUTION:The fuel absorbed by a wick 3, which is held between an inner and an outer cylinders, arranged concentrically to each other, freely movable upwardly and downwardly, is burnt on flame trays 9 and 10, formed at the upper ends of both cylinders 7 and 8, in the titled combustor of liquid fuel type. In this case, a heater 12 is fixed to the step part of outer circumference of an outer flame tray 10 by means of brazing. The heater 12 is energized by the output from a thermister which detects the decrease of temperature caused by extraordinary decrease of fuel to be atomized. The outer cylinder 8 to which a heater 12 is fixed is made of a material such as stainless of low thermal conductivity. With such a material, the heat of a flame tray 10, highly heated by a heater 12, is prevented from being conducted to the lower part of an outer cylinder 8, and a wick 3 is prevented from being heated. |
