LEAN AIR-FUEL MIXTURE ATTRACTION METHOD AND ATTRACTION ELECTRODE PLUG IN ENGINE

An improved method and apparatus is provided to attract fuel particles in a lean air-fuel mixture to and about a spark gap of an ignition plug. The fuel particles are maintained there until the time of ignition. The resulting concentration of fuel particles enables the relatively lean air-fuel mixture to be ignited. An attraction electrode capable of attracting the fuel particles in the lean air-fuel mixture is arranged to provide even distribution of the fuel particles to the various cylinders in the engine.
