PURPOSE:To stabilize the internal resistance of a small sealed lead acid battery, make an equalized amount of a paste to be packed into a grid, and make the surface of a plate smooth by securing the contact between the plate and a retainer by regulating the thickness of the plate acurately through pressing. CONSTITUTION:A plate is manufactured by setting a grid 1 in a press equipment consisting of a press frame 5 and a press part 6, and pressing a constant amount of a paste 7 supplied onto the grid 1. By the means mentioned above, any variation of the plate which might be caused due to the variation of the amount of an active material can be prevented, and the battery capacity can be stabilized by equalizing the amount of the paste 7 supplied onto the grid 1. |
