PURPOSE:To shorten a necessary heating time, and also to remarkably reduce a consumption unit of fuel, by piling up ingots specifically in multistage, in case when the ingots are heated by a furnace which has provided a lower burner on the side wall of the main burner side or the flue. CONSTITUTION:An ingot 1 piled up in multistage on a furnace is placed on a base ring metal 16 placed on a hearth 7 is a state that a burner side 17 is wider than an opposite side and the leg has been opened. On its ingot, other ingot is piled up through a spacer 19 or is piled up directly by changing the degree of opening the leg. As for the piled-up height, the ingot can be piled up to the uppermost stage or the middle stage exceeding a directing position of a lower burner 11. When this ingot 1 is heated by the burner 11, its burnt gas is blown into the ingot aggregate, goes deep into the side 18 since its flow resistance is small, and heat transmission is quickened. Its gas flow 12 and a burnt gas flow 20 of a main burner 3 is half-separated by the ingot piece string, and also the surface of the ingot piece is inclined and faces a gas flow 20 going to the side of an exhaust gas flue 8 from a furnace wall 6. Accordingly, a spot in a low temperature area is heated efficiently and also heating is performed equally over the whole lengthwise direction of the casting piece. |
