PURPOSE:To enhance the yield of iron in a top and bottom oxygen blowing converter by stopping top oxygen blowing after blowing out or during blowing and by continuing bottom blowing while adding a recarburizer and a slag making agent. CONSTITUTION:Molten iron is charged into a top and bottom blowing converter, and when a prescribed amount of oxygen is blown by top and bottom blowing, the top blowing is stopped. A recarburizer and a fine grain slag making agent are then added, and the bottom blowing is continued. Thus, the amount of iron absorbed in slag during the bottom blowing is reduced, and the yield of iron is enhanced. |
