The traffic sign has internal lighting, and comprises a rear piece (1) and (spaced from the rear) a front piece (4). The two pieces are joined along their outer edges, the front piece being at least partially transparent, and provided with symbols or text. A point-shaped light source (8) with a breaker unit (10) causes the light to be diffused in the internal space in a plane parallel to that of the sign. Also inside the sign is a peripheral mirrored surface (6) for reflection of diffused light from the source. |
