A title management method is provided to enable a user to previously divide titles as much as a desired amount of time in order that the user records the divided titles at desired positional areas as recording media of another storage media according to a desired point of time of the user. When a recording command of the first title is received, it is confirmed whether title recording frames divided to record new titles exist(S210-S222). If at least more than one title recording frame exists, a screen is provided to make a user select a title recording frame for recording the first title(S224). When the title recording frame is selected, data for the first title are recorded in a data area corresponding to the selected title recording frame(S226,S228).
