PURPOSE:To separate ferromagnetic materials and nonmagnetic materials with high magnetic selection efficiency in the state of screening and separating a mixture of ferromagnetic materials and nonmagnetic materials with a magnetic separator by treating these by utilizing endless permanent magnet elements and a conveyor. CONSTITUTION:While an endless conveyor belt 5 is held superposed on the outer side of permanent magnet elements 2 formed endless of many permanent magnets, an inclination of theta with respect to a horizontal plane is formed to these with sprockets 3, 3 and these are turned in a direction Y. The belt 5 is once detached from the elements 2 by a pulley 6 in the lower part of the device and is again superposed thereon. When a mixture of magnetic materials and nonmagnetic materials is charged from a hopper 7 onto the conveyor belt, the nonmagnetic materials glide by gravity in a direction Z and the magnetic materials are attracted by the permanent magnet elements on the rear side of the belt 5 and are moved in the direction Y together with the belt 5. In the part out from the upper sprocket 3, they are detached from the permanent magnets and are separated and contained in a receiving box 9. |
