PURPOSE:To charge or take out the catalyst into or out of the chamber between the inner and outer cylinders automatically during operation, by opening the catalyst- feeding damper and cover plate of the outer cylinder by rotation of a reactor, while the cam opens the cover plate of the inner cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When the drum rotates in the direction of the arrow mark N and the catalyst charging port 11 of the outer cylinder comes to the charging duct 12 which guides the new catalyst, the cover plate 14 freely hangs down to open the charging port 11, and the damper 13' of the duct 12 hangs down to the position 13 and opens, because its support by the outer cylinder surface is released. Thus the catalyst in the duct 12 drops and is charged through the charging port 11 into the chamber between the inner and outer cylinders. When the drum further rotates, the damper 13 is pushed up by the outer cylinder surface and returns to the position 13', while the cover plate 14 gradually closes the charging port 11. On the other hand, the cover plate 17 of the inner cylinder opens and closes the catalyst taking-out port 15 through the roller 18 and by the cam plate 19 to introduce the catalyst, which falls from the catalyst surface (a) to (b) at the position 17, through the taking-out port 15 into the inner cylinder, and discharges the catalyst. At positions 17' and 17'', the taking-out port 15 is closed. |
