PURPOSE:To effectively concentrate and regenerate magnetic fluid body without deteriorating the properties of it, by adding alkaline (earth) metallic salts and acids to a diluted liquid of water-base magnetic-fluid body covered into two layers with surface active agents to form agglomerates, and dispersing the formed agglomerates again while crushing them with added aqueous alkaline solution. CONSTITUTION:A diluted liquid of water-base-magnetic-fluid body is treated as follows, which is formed by covering particles of ferromagnetic oxide such as magnetic iron with surface active agents consisting of unsaturated fatty acid (or salt) as a main component, and further, covering the primarily covered particles with anionic-type surface- active agents, and then, dispersing the covered particles into the water; that is, the above mentioned metallic salts (i.e. NaCl) and the acide (i.e. HCl) are added to the diluted liquid to adjust the liquid to the extent of 1-4pH, and to agitate it in order to precipitate and separate it by rapidly growing agglomerates of dispersed particles. Next, aqueous alkali solution such as NaOH is added to the cakes, obtained by dehydrating and filtering the separated agglomerates, to disperse the cakes again thereby obtaining regenerated conc-water-based-magnetic fluid body. |
