PURPOSE:To provide flame detardant properties to a supporter and to obtain stable sound quality even with a location near power supply, by using cloth coated or immersed with an organic bromine compound soluble in an organic solvent for the fibrous edge and damper supporting a diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:The upper circumference of a diaphragm 5 of a speaker is supported to the tip of a frame 8 with an edge 9, and the lower circumference of the diaphragm 5 is fixed to a damper 7 fixed to a plate 2 via a bobbin of a voice coil 6. The edge 9 and the damper 7 are made of cloth of natural fiber coated or immersed with an organic bromine compound soluble in an organic solvent such as alcohol, benzene and acetone and further phenol resin together with the said compound. The support of the diaphragm 5 by the edge 9 and the damper 7 is given with flame detardant properties and heat-resistance, the deterioration of sound quality due to time aging is prevented and the speaker can be placed near power supply with much heat. |
