A method for operating a gift certificate with credit card information is provided to enable a gift certificate receiving client to use the gift certificate through a credit card by storing the gift certificate received from a gift certificate presenting client to a wired/wireless server in connection to the credit card information of the gift certificate receiving client. A server(100) receives gift certificate selection information to be presented and receiver information of the selected gift certificate from the gift certificate presenting client(115), and stores the gift certificate information given to the gift certificate receiving client(120) to a storage medium by linking with the credit card information of the gift certificate receiving client. An authentication server(110) checks the gift certificate information stored in the storage medium by using the credit card information of the gift certificate receiving client, and processes the gift certificate use approval of the gift certificate receiving client depending on a check result when the gift certificate receiving client uses the gift certificate.
