<p>The animal feeding device for e.g. cats and dogs, with an automatic dispensing system, is used for granular and powdery food substances. The food stuff is stored in a compartment at the top of a housing shaped as a column with four sides with four feeding openings around a square trough. A control system dispenses foodstuff from the top compartment to enter a delivery hopper terminating in a spout which discharges onto a control pyramid inside the square trough. Inside the top compartment are sloping flaps combined with an agitator to direct the foodstuff towards a motor driven roller above the hopper, using a separate motor from that driving the agitator. The whole can be operated by a programmed timing mechanism.</p> |
